Kauai Police Department Phone Outage

LIHUE, Hawaii — The Kauai Police Department’s non-emergency phone line is now operational after a recent outage. The service became available again on Wednesday morning following an extended disruption caused by technical issues.

According to a press release from the County of Kauai, the non-emergency line at 808-241-1711 had been unavailable for some time. The county reassured residents that 911 services remained operational for emergencies during the outage.

The phone service issues were initially reported on Tuesday, leaving various county office lines and voicemails inoperable. In light of this, the county advised the public to reach out to government agencies via email until full service could be restored.

The County of Kauai’s Information Technology Division is actively monitoring the situation and is committed to ensuring further service interruptions do not occur.

This ongoing effort highlights the county’s dedication to maintaining communication with residents and providing necessary support during technical challenges.
