Kendall Jenner Reflects on Relationship with Caitlyn Jenner
LOS ANGELES, CA – Kendall Jenner discussed her complicated relationship with her father Caitlyn Jenner during a recent episode of Hulu‘s “The Kardashians.” The 29-year-old model shared insights about their differing views and how they maintain their bond despite challenges.
Kendall revealed her struggles in a confessional aired on Thursday. “I have to compartmentalize my relationship with my dad in a way because I love her and she is my dad. We have a good relationship, but sometimes I get frustrated with her with certain things,” she said.
She admitted that she and Caitlyn, 76, hold “completely different views on things,” hinting at potential political differences without explicitly detailing them. Caitlyn has been an outspoken supporter of conservative policies and previously endorsed Donald Trump.
Kendall expressed a desire to keep Caitlyn included in family activities, acknowledging her father’s loneliness outside their family. “I always want to include her. I know she doesn’t have a lot outside of her family and I know she gets lonely,” Kendall added.
The episode featured emotional scenes, including Kris Jenner inviting Caitlyn to their former family home for a farewell dinner. Kris described the invitation as necessary, stating, “It wouldn’t be the same without Caitlyn there, too.”
Kendall and her sister Kylie were surprised yet pleased to see Caitlyn at the gathering. “I definitely wasn’t expecting my dad to be here, just knowing the relationship my mom has with my dad. Not that it is bad, it is just distant,” Kendall noted.
Kylie commented that while their parents may never be best friends again, Caitlyn’s presence was a positive step forward. The emotional reunion marked Caitlyn’s return to the series after a significant hiatus.
Kendall’s reflections highlight the complexity of their relationship amid public scrutiny and personal differences. Despite their challenges, she emphasizes the importance of familial connection, saying, “You don’t ever want someone to be sad, especially your dad and someone you love and care about.”
