Kendrick Lamar Leads 2026 Grammy Nominations with Nine Nods
LOS ANGELES, CA — The nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been announced, and Kendrick Lamar is at the forefront with nine nominations, including album, record, and song of the year.
Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Sabrina Carpenter also received multiple nominations. Bad Bunny made history as the first Spanish-language artist to secure nominations in the best album, record, and song categories in the same year with his track “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.”
In the Best New Artist category, artists like Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, and the girl group Katseye are making waves. Thomas, who recently achieved his first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, is also up for several R&B categories.
Lady Gaga trails Lamar with seven nominations, which include best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album. Canadian producer Cirkut also shares the spotlight with seven nominations, thanks to his work with Gaga and Carpenter.
The Grammy Awards recognize music released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025, meaning some prominent releases, like Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl,” will not be featured this year.
The ceremony, celebrating excellence in music, will take place live at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on February 1, 2026.
