Kevin Federline Britney Spears Memoir Release

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Kevin Federline is raising concerns about his ex-wife Britney Spears in his upcoming memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” set to release on October 21. In excerpts shared with the media, Federline describes alarming incidents regarding their two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.

Federline, 47, claims that the boys would sometimes wake up at night to find Spears standing over them, holding a knife. He writes, “They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand.” He expresses concern that Spears’ behavior indicates an unsettling crisis, stating, “Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change.”

The couple, who were married from 2004 to 2007, have had a turbulent co-parenting relationship. Federline, who has largely raised the boys, notes he hasn’t spoken to Spears in years. Despite their past marriage, he insists he has tried to support the boys’ relationship with their mother.

Spears, 43, spent 13 years under a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, which has faced intense scrutiny and was part of the motivation behind the “#FreeBritney” movement. Federline argues that this movement, while well-intentioned, ultimately did more harm than good.

In his book, he writes, “All those people who put so much effort into that should now put the same energy into the ‘Save Britney’ movement.” He emphasizes that it is no longer just about her freedom, but rather about her survival.

Federline describes watching Spears’ behavior become increasingly concerning in recent months, citing her erratic social media posts. “It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking,” he adds. Federline worries that their sons might end up suffering if their mother doesn’t receive the help she needs.

His memoir reflects significant moments of their troubled relationship, including past incidents of her mental health struggles, while also affirming his commitment to the well-being of their children.

While a representative for Spears has not yet commented on Federline’s claims, he hopes that bringing attention to the situation can lead to positive changes for their family.
