Kevin Hart to Host 2025 BET Awards Celebrating 25 Years of Culture

LOS ANGELES, CA

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart will host the 2025 BET Awards, set to air live on June 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This year marks a significant milestone as the awards show celebrates its 25th anniversary, coining itself as “Culture’s Biggest Night.” The event will take place at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

“I love a celebration! It’s a chance to reflect, cherish, and honor life’s unforgettable moments,” Hart said in a statement. “I’m truly honored to host the 25th BET Awards and celebrate the culture’s biggest night. This year marks the 25th anniversary, and my partners at Hartbeat, BET, and JCE are pulling out all the stops to make it a night to remember. It’s a black-tie affair, and you’re all invited.”

Hart brings a wealth of experience back to the BET stage, having previously hosted in 2011 and contributed to various shows on the network, such as “Comic View: One Night Stand” and the scripted series “Real Husbands of Hollywood.” “For over a decade, Kevin Hart has been a beloved part of the BET family, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him return to host the 25th anniversary BET Awards,” BET President and CEO Scott Mills said.

As part of the anniversary celebration, the 2025 BET Awards will honor influential voices in music, film, television, and sports from the past 25 years. BET’s EVP, Connie Orlando, praised Hart’s impact on entertainment, stating, “Kevin’s unmatched charisma, comedic brilliance, and deep-rooted connection to our culture make him the perfect choice to commemorate this milestone event.”

The BET Experience 2025, featuring four days of fan events, will take place from June 5–8 in Los Angeles leading up to the award show.
