Kids Expo 2025 Returns to South Lake Tahoe This Weekend

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Catalyst Community will host the free Kids Expo 2025, formerly known as Day of the Young Child, on Saturday, May 17, at Lake Tahoe Community College. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Expo, previously held in Placerville, will feature 35 vendors, including local non-profits and businesses focused on childcare. This year’s event expands to South Lake Tahoe to better serve the community.
Attendees can expect a variety of activities, such as hands-on learning experiences for children, live music from a DJ, and free food. Families are encouraged to explore large vehicles on display, including a fire engine and a garbage truck, which will allow kids to learn and engage in a playful environment.
The Kids Expo also aims to connect parents with vital resources for childcare and family support. “This is a great opportunity for families to discover local resources and have fun at the same time,” said a representative from Catalyst Community.
