Cigar Mobile Humidor Knoxville

Knoxville, Tennessee — Local musician Mike McGill has turned his passion for cigars into a thriving business with Good Guys Cigars, the area’s first mobile humidor. Together with fellow musician Jamie Akins, McGill offers cigar enthusiasts a unique experience, whether it’s during tailgates or at local events like golf tournaments.

The mobile humidor can frequently be found at Trailhead Beer Market in South Knoxville, especially during football weekends. McGill sold his first cigar at the venue during the Alabama game in 2024 and has since positioned himself as a go-to cigar vendor.

The pair, along with their team members Lexi True and Meg Akins, pride themselves on customer service. “We’re going to greet you and make you feel comfortable right off the bat,” McGill told Knox News. They aim to create an inviting atmosphere for both seasoned smokers and newcomers alike.

Good Guys Cigars also offers a unique opportunity with mystery cigars, allowing curious customers to select from a curated list for just $10. Pricing for other cigars ranges from around $3 to $30, allowing for options that suit every budget.

Akins emphasizes that cigar smoking isn’t just for men anymore, and the business strives to make every customer feel included. The mobile humidor encourages questions and discussion about personal flavor preferences, which helps establish a connection with the clients.

The shop hosts monthly meetings at Trailhead, where members enjoy exclusive perks including a free cigar on their birthday and discounts on premium hand-rolled cigars. McGill shared that they have received positive feedback from customers who appreciate the convenience of having a local cigar shop.

The story of Good Guys Cigars began a couple of years ago when McGill ran into one of the Trailhead Beer Market’s owners while sharing cigars for the Alabama game. This encounter sparked the idea for the mobile trailer modeled after McGill’s personal cigar sanctuary.

With plans to engage more with the community, Good Guys Cigars represents a blend of musical passion and business acumen. “My five-year plan is to be happy and to enjoy providing a service to people that is needed,” McGill said. The business’ presence at local events shows how cigars can bring people together, much like music.

For those interested in cigars or learning more about the craft, Good Guys offers online ordering and utilizes social media platforms, including Instagram, to keep customers informed of specials and trailer schedules. McGill’s advice for new smokers is simple: “Life’s too short to smoke bad cigars.”
