April 2025 General Conference Temple Square

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Millions are expected to tune in to the April 2025 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this weekend, April 5-6. This 195th Annual General Conference will be broadcast live from Temple Square, offering attendees sermons and messages from the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other leaders of the Church.

The conference schedule includes three sessions on Saturday and two on Sunday, with each session lasting roughly two hours. The sessions will be available in multiple languages across various platforms, making it accessible to a global audience.

“We encourage our members to prepare specific questions for guidance during the conference,” a church spokesperson said. “Listening for answers is a key component of developing a stronger relationship with God.”

As part of the accessibility efforts, the conference will be streamed live worldwide on several platforms, including the Church’s official website and through the Gospel Voice skill on Amazon Alexa devices. Full details about how to watch the broadcasts can be found on the Church’s website.

Tickets for in-person attendance are limited and must be requested through local Church leaders for those living in the United States and Canada. International members may contact their stake or district presidents for ticket requests. Notably, conference tickets also serve as UTA passes for transportation in Salt Lake City.

In addition to the main conference sessions, a leadership meeting held on April 3 resulted in the announcement of 78 new Area Seventies who were presented for sustaining votes by attendees. These leaders play crucial roles in supporting the Church’s mission by assisting the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles across various regions.

“The call is significant as Area Seventies serve as special witnesses to the Church, aiding in its growth and governance,” said a Church representative. “They will serve for five years and are empowered to carry out the work of the Lord in their areas.”

A highlight of this conference will be the emphasis on unity and personal spiritual development. During a recent talk, President Russell M. Nelson remarked, “Every sincere seeker of Jesus Christ will find him in the temple. You will feel his mercy and find answers to your most vexing questions.”

Anticipation is building as preparations wrap up. Church members and leaders are focusing on the importance of the conference in providing spiritual enlightenment and community cohesion in these challenging times. Articles and videos summarizing the session highlights, including talk summaries and photos, will be made available online following the event.
