Beginning his journey in the world of radio during the 1970s at the prominent station 2SM, Sparks, also referenced as Sparx, made a significant mark in the broadcasting industry.

His expertise and charisma led him to contribute to several renowned radio stations including Triple M, 2DayFM, and later finding a home at WSFM.

Sparks’ talent extended beyond radio as he ventured into television, guest-hosting the iconic music program Countdown on the ABC and lending his voice to the popular game show, Wheel of Fortune.

Former colleagues and broadcasting peers, such as Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller, have taken to social media to pay heartfelt tributes to the late radio icon, reminiscing about his influence as a ‘legend of the airwaves’ and his exceptional character as a ‘fine man’.
