LEGO Unveils The Goonies Set for 2025 Release
Billund, Denmark – The LEGO Group has officially announced the release of The Goonies LEGO set, based on the beloved 1985 adventure film. This new set contains 2,912 pieces and is set to hit shelves on November 4, 2025.
Among the features of the diorama model is a recreation of the Inferno, One-Eyed Willy’s pirate ship, showcasing various scenes from the movie. It includes iconic locations like the Fratellis’ hideout and Willy’s treasure room, allowing builders to explore the film interactively.
The set comes with twelve mini-figures, portraying key characters including Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Andy, and Data. Unique new elements were crafted for Sloth’s pirate hat and Mama Fratelli’s hair. It measures 18 cm wide, 62 cm long, and 36 cm high.
To mark the set’s announcement, actor Ke Huy Quan, who played Data in the original film, appeared in a nostalgic mini-film. Quan shared memories from filming, recalling the thrill of seeing the Inferno ship revealed on set. “This set captures the spirit of adventure that made the film so unforgettable,” said Quan.
The Goonies set was created through LEGO’s Ideas platform, which allows fans to propose and vote on new products. Greece-based designer Vaggelis Ntezes, known as Delusion Brick, submitted the winning design. “I wanted to build something that offered both playability and display value,” he stated.
For those eager to get their hands on the set, early access is available starting November 1, 2025, with a price tag of $309.99. As an added bonus, customers purchasing the set during its initial release will receive a complimentary smaller set titled The Walsh’s Attic, which includes scenes from the movie’s attic sequence.
The Goonies remains a beloved classic over decades, with its themes of friendship and adventure resonating with each new generation. Warner Bros. Discovery continues to celebrate this legacy through merchandise and special releases.
