Leh Organizes De Addiction Awareness Event

Leh has taken a big step towards promoting a drug-free lifestyle! On August 14, 2024, the District Social Welfare Office hosted a lively Nukkad Natak and flash mob in the Main Market of Leh.

The event was all about raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encouraging de-addiction in the community. It’s part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which is working hard to support a drug-free India.

People who attended got to see some powerful performances that highlighted the serious risks associated with drug abuse. The messages were clear: it’s important to seek help if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction.

Mr. Thinlay Norboo, the Manager of the District De-Addiction Center, expressed the commitment of his team. He said, “We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by drug abuse. Through this initiative, we aim to create a supportive environment for those seeking help and promote a healthier, drug-free lifestyle.”

The response from the public was fantastic, with many people coming out to watch the performances and show their support for the important cause.
