Local Attorney Launches Fundraising Campaign for Cancer Support

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Greg Finch, a partner at Bouhan Falligant LLP, has launched a fundraising campaign to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Visionaries of the Year competition. The campaign kicked off on Feb. 27, with a goal of raising $100,000 to assist local blood cancer survivors.

The Visionaries of the Year campaign is a 10-week philanthropic competition encouraging community leaders across the United States to raise funds in honor of individuals affected by blood cancers. The candidate whose team raises the most funds during the campaign earns the title of Visionary of the Year. Additionally, the top performer nationwide receives the national title.

Finch’s team, dubbed the “Cancer Fight Club,” aims to emphasize the importance of community support for those battling cancer. “I have seen firsthand from working with kids’ cancer organizations the profound impact that support of loved ones, friends, siblings, and strangers can have as these brave children fight the toughest battle of their life,” Finch stated. “It truly takes a village, and the personal impact that support, funding, and community has is truly instrumental.”

Incorporating elements from the film “Fight Club,” Finch seeks to inspire conversations about cancer awareness through the campaign. His dedication to philanthropy is evident in his previous work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Heart Association, among others.

As a partner in Bouhan Falligant’s litigation team, Finch specializes in medical malpractice and professional liability, nursing home and long-term care, transportation, logistics, and product liability. Originally hailing from Crestwood, Kentucky, he actively engages with his community in Savannah and his alma mater, Transylvania University, mentoring students.

The Visionaries of the Year Savannah campaign will run from Feb. 27 to May 10, culminating in a grand finale celebration. During this event, LLS Heroes—Tash, 8, and Micki, 5—will also be honored.
