Local Bartender Vincent Soranno Shines at SAHARA Las Vegas
Vincent Soranno, a native of Las Vegas, has undoubtedly made his mark in the city’s vibrant bar scene. Born and raised in Las Vegas, he is part of a family deeply entrenched in the casino industry. His parents have longtime careers in casinos, and his brother is also a bartender on the famous Las Vegas Strip.
Encouraged by his family to pursue a career in bartending, Soranno decided to give the profession a try. “‘Why don’t you try getting into the bar industry, because it would suit your personality’, my parents told me,” Soranno recounts. “And so, I decided to give it a try. Now, I honestly can’t see myself doing anything else in Vegas.”
Soranno honed his skills as a bar apprentice and subsequently secured a position at SAHARA Las Vegas. He currently works at Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabhouse & Sports Bar, a popular spot known for its elevated bar food and diverse seafood offerings. “We have elevated bar food, plus all the kinds of seafood you can think of,” Soranno notes.
Soranno is passionate about the social aspect of his job, citing hospitality as a natural calling. “I’m the outgoing, crazy guy. I’m the guy that makes things less awkward. Even if I don’t know anything about a person when I meet them, I can at least make them smile and laugh,” he says. Soranno is keen to ensure patrons feel welcome and informed about the menu offerings, declaring, “I’ve tried everything on the menu—I’ll give an accurate recommendation.”
Among Soranno’s specialties is the Strawberry Lemon Drop, a cocktail featuring vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, strawberry purée, and a sugar rim. “I love making cocktails that really pop, that’ll make you want to come back to my bar again,” he mentions.
Chickie’s & Pete’s boasts a fully integrated sportsbook experience, making it a prime location during football season. Located at SAHARA Las Vegas, it continues to be an attraction for both locals and tourists alike.
