Columbia, SC — The South Carolina Education Lottery announced the draw game results for Thursday, May 8, 2025. Players can check the results to see if they won big.

In the Midday draw, the winning numbers were 0-6-1, with a Fireball of 2. The Evening draw results revealed winning numbers of 8-8-9, also with a Fireball of 0. For the Pick 3 game, Midday results were 3-2-1-0, and the Evening results were 1-5-2-7, with Fireballs of 2 and 0, respectively. The Powerball drawing for this day showcased numbers 14-18-23-34-35, with a Lucky Ball of 17.

Players who win up to $500 can claim their prizes directly at any authorized South Carolina Education Lottery retailer by presenting a signed winning ticket. For winnings of $501 to $100,000, a signed ticket must be mailed with a claim form and a government-issued photo ID to the South Carolina Lottery Claims Center.

For larger prizes exceeding $100,000, winners must present their ticket in person at the lottery headquarters in Columbia. Required documents include a signed ticket, claim form, government-issued ID, and a Social Security card. Claiming large prizes allows for the option of setting up an Electronic Funds Transfer for payouts.

In North Carolina, the Education Lottery also held drawings on the same day. The Day draw winning numbers were 0-8-1, with a Fireball of 2, while the Evening draw results were 0-7-0 with a Fireball of 8. Additionally, the Pick 4 Day draw had numbers 1-5-4-6, and the Evening draw results were 7-9-9-3.

North Carolina players can claim prizes up to $599 at local retailers. For winnings above $599, players must submit their tickets by mail or in person at one of the North Carolina Lottery Offices. Submissions must include a prize claim form and a signed lottery ticket, along with a government-issued photo ID and Social Security card.

For tickets valued under $600, a photo ID or Social Security card is not necessary. Players can also verify previous winning numbers and payouts through the North Carolina Lottery’s official website.
