Lsu Vs Southeastern Louisiana Football

BATON ROUGE, La. — The No. 3 LSU Tigers (3-0) are set to face Southeastern Louisiana (2-1) in a non-conference football game at Tiger Stadium on Saturday, September 20, with kickoff scheduled for 6:55 p.m. CT. Fans who can’t attend can catch the game on the SEC Network.

LSU officials advise spectators to arrive early to avoid traffic and secure parking. For the game, a custom Waze traffic map has been developed to provide real-time updates, ensuring fans navigate campus smoothly. Post-game, streets around the stadium will operate under contraflow for quick exits.

Due to ongoing construction on the LSU Lakes Project, May Street will remain closed for the season, impacting traffic flow. Fans using rideshares like Uber or Lyft should be aware that there’s no designated pickup area at the stadium.

Fans are reminded of the stadium’s clear bag policy; only clear tote bags smaller than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are permitted, along with one sealed water bottle (32 ounces or one liter). Gates will open at 4:45 p.m.

Last week, LSU’s defense shone with five interceptions against Florida, showcasing standout performances from players like sophomore Davhon Keys and Dashawn Spears, who contributed significantly despite missing captain linebacker Whit Weeks due to targeting penalties.

Offensively, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has shown improvement, throwing for 220 yards and a touchdown last week. Head coach Brian Kelly emphasized the need for enhanced performance in all areas, noting, “We have to work on ourselves this week.”

The matchup marks only the third meeting between LSU and Southeastern, with the Tigers winning both previous encounters, last defeating the Lions 31-0 in 2018. Southeastern is coming off a decisive victory against Mississippi Valley, scoring 56-3.

As Saturday’s game approaches, LSU fans are eager to see how their team improves and builds on its early-season successes ahead of upcoming SEC challenges.
