Lulu Sun Tennis Match Jinan China

Jinan, ChinaLulu Sun bounced back from a rocky start to defeat Shi Han, 3-6, 6-0, 6-0, in the first round of the WTA 125 tournament on Monday. Sun, the sixth seed, faced Han, who is ranked 318th and received a wildcard entry into the main draw.

During the first set, it seemed an upset was brewing as Han broke Sun’s serve twice, showcasing impressive tennis that belied her ranking. However, everything changed in the following sets as Sun found her rhythm and did not allow Han to win another game.

The match lasted just over an hour and a half, with Sun dominating thanks to her powerful first serve, winning 81.6% of points on it. Yet, her second serve was less effective, only yielding 35.7% success.

This match marked Sun’s fourth comeback victory of the year after losing the opening set. In the next round, she will face the winner of the match between China’s Li Xiaowei and Arianne Hartono from the Netherlands.
