Mac McClung Signs Deal with Chicago Bulls Ahead of New Season

San Francisco, CA, USA — Mac McClung, a G League MVP and three-time Slam Dunk Contest champion, has reportedly signed with the Chicago Bulls, according to league sources. The announcement came on February 15, 2025, during the All Star Saturday Night festivities leading up to the NBA All-Star Game at the Chase Center.
This deal marks another chapter in McClung’s pursuit of a successful NBA career. Known for his impressive dunking skills, he has made a name for himself in the G League. Despite limited opportunities in the NBA, he has amassed a respectable record of 5.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists over six NBA games.
The details of McClung’s contract with the Bulls remain unclear, but it is speculated that it may be a training camp agreement, potentially placing him in the Bulls’ G League squad. At the G League level, McClung has excelled, averaging 22.9 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game.
McClung’s addition to the Bulls takes another free-agent point guard off the market just as teams prepare for the 2025-2026 season. Previously, he was linked to teams like the New York Knicks, but discussions did not materialize.
As a player who initially went undrafted in 2021 out of Texas Tech, McClung has had brief appearances with various NBA teams including the LA Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Orlando Magic, showcasing his resilience and determination to succeed.
He was also named the MVP of the G League in 2024, further solidifying his status as a rising talent. The 2025 season presents an important opportunity for McClung as he aims to leave his mark in the NBA.
