Indian automobile giant, Mahindra & Mahindra, has announced an increase in the prices of its XUV 3OO, following the conclusion of its introductory pricing scheme. Now, the XUV 3OO’s pricing will be elevated by up to Rs 30,000, subject to the specific variant chosen. Previously, the model was launched with a price range from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom; the base price now starts at Rs 7.79 lakh, while the top-end variant remains priced at Rs 15.49 lakh.

The price hike notably affects several variants: the MX1, MX2, and AX5 (both manual transmission and automatic transmission) equipped with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine see an increase of Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, the MX2 Pro and MX3 equipped with the same engine are marked up by Rs 25,000. Diesel variants, including the MX2 Pro, MX3 (both manual and automatic), and AX5, observe a more modest rise of Rs 10,000.

The Mahindra XUV 3OO remains available with multiple engine options: the 1.2-litre turbo petrol producing 110 horsepower, a 1.2-litre T-GDi delivering 131 horsepower, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Gearbox options include a standard 6-speed manual and an available 6-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). The enhanced T-GDi model offers a 6-speed torque converter as its automatic option.

The XUV 3OO competes against other compact SUVs in the market, such as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. This price revision comes after the model’s successful market performance since its launch in April 2024, marking the first upward price adjustment for the vehicle.

Design updates for the XUV 3OO include a refreshed front fascia with enhanced LED headlights and a newly designed grille. Additionally, it features redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels to boost its visual appeal. Despite external tweaks, the XUV 3OO maintains a strong emphasis on technological offerings, boasting a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, AdrenoX connected technology, among others.

In terms of safety, Mahindra has outfitted all XUV 3OO variants with six airbags, rear disc brakes, ESP, and ISOFIX anchor points. Higher-end variants offer features like an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functions, hill start and descent assistance, and a 360-degree surround camera. Notably, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology is available, a step above the Level 1 ADAS technology found in competitors such as the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
