Running Springs California Snowstorm Snow Covered Roads

RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif. — A significant snowstorm swept through Running Springs on March 7, 2025, delivering several inches of fresh snowfall that has thrilled local business owners and visitors alike.

As of midday, snow accumulation reached several inches, prompting warnings and excitement as residents took advantage of the winter weather. The storm, which is expected to be one of the largest of the season, has made travel conditions challenging.

Highway 330 remained navigable early in the day, with Caltrans snowplows actively working to keep the roads clear. However, reports mentioned at least one truck losing control on a turn, underscoring the potential hazards faced by drivers.

“We’re thankful for the snow,” said local shop owner Tom Harris. “It boosts our business immensely during this time of year.” Snow Valley, a popular ski destination, experienced significant snowfall, adding to the excitement among winter sports enthusiasts.

As the storm continues, residents and visitors are advised to stay updated on road conditions and exercise caution while traveling. The fresh powder not only offers recreational opportunities but also a boost to the local economy.
