Maroon 5 Adam Levine Tonight Show April 2025

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Adam Levine confirmed on April 7 during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that Maroon 5 will return with new music and a tour this year.

“I can confirm the rumors are true,” Levine said, generating enthusiastic applause from the audience. When asked about the specifics, he replied, “There are details. I cannot divulge all the details. But the details are basically, roughly, there’s a single coming at the end of the month-ish. I’m really excited about it. An album is coming over the summer. Non-specifically around the summertime. And then, even more non-specifically, there is a tour coming in the fall-ish.”

Levine’s announcements mark the band’s first new music since the 2023 single “Middle Ground” and a follow-up to their last album, 2021’s “Jordi.” The new album has yet to be titled.

When discussing past collaborations, Levine reflected on his work with producer Benny Blanco, notably on the 2011 hit “Moves Like Jagger.” “He’s fun, he’s hilarious,” Levine said of Blanco, who also co-wrote the track. “He convinced me to write music away from the band because I had only kept it in the band before, so we’d never had outside writers on any of that stuff.”

Levine remembered his initial reaction to Blanco’s demos, stating, “I was like, ‘Oh this is a lot of fun.’ Having new energy is a great thing… funnily enough, now I’ve kind of gone back to writing and shutting everybody out. But Benny was the first guy that got me to think outside of the band.”

Maroon 5 has maintained a busy schedule since their last release, touring internationally and performing a series of shows in Las Vegas. Their last album, “Jordi,” featured collaborations with artists such as Megan Thee Stallion and Stevie Nicks and included hit singles “Memories” and “Nobody’s Love.” Critics noted the album’s serious tone, with Rolling Stone observing, “a little more escape might’ve been welcome.”

As Levine gears up for the release of new music, he is also a coach on Season 27 of “The Voice,” returning after a brief hiatus. He shared his thoughts about his comeback, citing a serendipitous alignment of circumstances. “I honestly feel like the stars aligned,” Levine said. “It was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right… and it hadn’t felt right until now.”

Fans eagerly await more details on Maroon 5’s upcoming single, album, and tour as the band prepares to make waves in the music industry once again.
