The new season is set to premiere on Disney+ on December 22, 2024, with a unique release schedule that will see a new episode debut daily for eight consecutive days.

The trailer promises an epic conclusion to the series, featuring classic characters making unexpected choices that alter their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright, will continue to guide viewers through these new and exciting storylines, which will traverse various genres and include bigger spectacles and incredible new characters.

Season 3 boasts an impressive voice cast, including fan-favorite characters such as Captain America/Sam Wilson, The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, Hulk/Bruce Banner, The Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, Agatha Harkness, Shang-Chi, and the debut of Storm the Goddess of Thunder, voiced by Alison Sealy-Smith. Other notable characters include Moon Knight, White Vision, and surprise appearances from Howard the Duck and Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis.

The series is directed by Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck, with writing credits going to Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little, and A.C. Bradley. The executive producers include Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Bryan Andrews, along with co-executive producer Matthew Chauncey and producers Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar, and Alex Scharf.

The final season of *What If…?* is expected to deliver on its promise of epic battles and world-altering showdowns, setting the stage for a memorable conclusion to the series. While it is unlikely to directly set up upcoming movies like *Avengers: Doomsday* and *Avengers: Secret Wars*, characters from the show could still make appearances in these films.
