Maryland Lottery Fixes April 2 CASH POP Ticket Redemption Issue

BALTIMORE, Md. — Maryland Lottery officials are advising players to keep any tickets from the April 2 CASH POP drawings as they address a ticket cashing issue affecting the redemption of winning tickets. A technical glitch is currently hindering the process.
The Lottery reported that after identifying the problem, they are working swiftly to resolve it so that players can redeem their valid winning tickets. The affected drawings include the 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. CASH POP games, with winning numbers being 13 and 5, respectively.
Lottery spokesperson Melanie Losover emphasized the urgency of the matter, noting, “We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.” Despite the uncertainty, no specific timeline has been provided for when the problem will be fixed.
Players are encouraged to retain their tickets until further instructions are given by the Maryland Lottery. The announcement was made just 23 minutes after the issue first became public.
The Maryland Lottery has reassured participants that they will be able to cash in their winning tickets once the issue is rectified. In the meantime, officials are emphasizing the importance of responsible play and ensuring that players have a smooth experience.
The CASH POP game allows players to select numbers, and the payout varies based on how many numbers match the drawn selections. This recent issue highlights the need for operational reliability within the state’s gaming systems.
