MCC Extends NEET UG Counselling Round 3 Schedule Following Requests
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced an extension to the NEET UG Counselling Round 3 schedule. This decision comes in response to numerous requests from the Bihar counselling authority and candidates participating in the process. The extension aims to accommodate candidates who have been allotted seats through Round 2 in Bihar’s state counselling.
According to the official notice, candidates who wish to withdraw from seats allotted in Round 1 or Round 2 by the MCC can do so by the deadline of October 10, 2024. Furthermore, candidates from Round 1 who did not receive an upgrade in Round 2 can also resign from their seats without losing their security deposit, provided they do so within the registration period.
Candidates who were newly allotted seats in Round 2 and have joined them, but now wish to resign, can vacate their seats. However, this would entail forfeiture of their security deposit, which must occur within the given resignation period.
The revised timeline for Round 3 includes registration from October 3 to October 8, 2024, choice filling and locking from October 8 to October 11, 2024, and seat allotment processing on October 11. The results for Round 3 seat allotment are scheduled to be announced on October 12, 2024. Following this, reporting for seat confirmation will take place from October 14 to October 19, 2024, with verification of joined candidates set for October 20 to October 21, 2024.
Additionally, the Director General of Medical Education and Training (DME), Uttar Pradesh, has commenced the Round 3 choice filling registration process on its portal for UP NEET UG 2024. Candidates registered for the third phase can complete their choice filling by visiting the official website, upneet.gov.in. They are advised to carefully review fee structures for private and minority institutions available on the departmental website before making their choices.
The results for the UP NEET UG 2024 Round 3 seat allotment are expected to be declared on October 18. Successful candidates will be able to download their allotment letters from October 19 to October 24, on selected days as specified by the DME.
