Mcdonald's Mcrib Uk Return

Fast food giant McDonald's has officially announced that the McRib, an iconic menu item, will make its return to UK menus after an absence of nearly a decade. The company confirmed the relaunch through both social media and official statements.

Last seen in the UK in early 2015, the McRib will be available to customers starting October 16, 2024. The offering includes a boneless pork patty, styled like ribs, slathered in barbecue sauce with the addition of onions and pickles within a toasted bun. In terms of pricing, the McRib will cost £4.49 individually or £6.19 when purchased as part of a medium meal deal.

The Head of Menu at McDonald’s UK, Thomas O’Neill, commented on the return, stating, “It is more than just a sandwich; it’s a phenomenon. We have heard our fans loud and clear. The fan petitions and social media pleas for the McRib’s return have been overwhelming, and we are thrilled to bring this iconic menu item back.”

The reintroduction of the McRib has been anticipated by fans following a seemingly accidental notification through the McDonald’s App that referenced the McRib along with the date of its return. This sparked significant excitement and speculation among customers regarding the sandwich’s comeback.

The McRib’s history with the UK market dates back to its initial launch in 1981. However, it was discontinued four years later due to poor sales. Despite this, the sandwich has maintained a cult following and has appeared sporadically in various regions, generating considerable fanfare with each return.
