Mcdonald's Launches Grown Up Happy Meal

In an exciting twist for fans of the golden arches, McDonald's has officially launched a grown-up version of the iconic Happy Meal. This new offering, called Collector’s Meals, hit participating U.S. locations on August 13.

These Collector’s Meals are not just meals; they come with six unique collectible cups featuring designs that harken back to beloved McDonald’s keepsakes from the past. As Morgan Flatley, a company executive, explained, McDonald’s hopes to bring back some nostalgia, allowing fans to relive treasured moments while inspiring a new generation to create their own memories.

The meals are available all day, so whether you’re stopping by for breakfast with a sausage and egg sandwich or grabbing a classic Big Mac with fries for lunch, there’s a chance to add to your cup collection whenever you want.

The cup designs take a delightful trip down memory lane, showcasing classic characters and toys that once made childhood visits to McDonald’s feel special. For instance, the cups feature designs like the Cowpoke McNugget Buddy from 1988 and a throwback to the Hello Kitty Crew Keychain from 2000.

This nostalgic meal doesn’t just cater to your taste buds; there’s also a fun tech twist! You can scan the cups using Snapchat to unlock an augmented reality experience. Plus, to celebrate this launch, McDonald’s has planned some unique events, including DJ sets at the Santa Monica Pier and a free ride on the Phoenix Roller Coaster at Coney Island for anyone with a Collector’s Meal cup.
