Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $243 Million After No Winner

DETROIT, Mich. — The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has surged to an estimated $243 million after no one won the prize in the drawing held on Friday, June 6, 2025.
The winning numbers from the June 6 drawing were 16, 40, 54, 56, and 57, with the Mega Ball being 3. No tickets matched all six numbers, leaving the jackpot untouched.
The next drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, at 11 p.m. ET. Tickets can be purchased in Michigan until 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw, either in-store or online.
Playing the Mega Millions costs $5 per ticket. Players select five numbers from a pool of 70, plus one Mega Ball number from a pool of 24. For those unsure of their numbers, there is an Easy Pick option that randomly generates numbers.
Mega Millions offers a built-in multiplier that can increase non-jackpot prizes by two to ten times, added at no extra cost. The odds of winning the jackpot stand at 1 in 290,472,336.
The last significant jackpot winner occurred on April 18, 2025, when a ticket purchased in Ohio won $112 million. This latest rollover marks a continued trend of high jackpots, drawing significant attention from players nationwide.
To claim winnings, jackpot winners can choose between an annuity option, which pays in installments, or a one-time cash payment, significantly less than the advertised jackpot. In a situation where multiple tickets win, the total prize is divided among the winners.
For more information about ticket purchases and past winners, players can visit official lottery websites and authorized retailers.
