Mega Millions Lottery Drawing

NEW YORK, NY — The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has risen to an estimated $264 million for the drawing on Friday, June 13, 2025. This increase follows a Tuesday drawing where no one matched all six winning numbers.

If a lucky ticket holder matches all the numbers, they will have the option of a one-time cash payment totaling $117.3 million. This year alone, there have been three Mega Millions winners, with the most recent jackpot of $112 million being claimed.

The winning numbers drawn on Friday, June 13, are: 8, 10, 22, 40, 47 with the Mega Ball being 1. Results will be posted after the drawing is complete. The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 at 11 p.m. ET.

As part of the updated game rules, each Mega Millions ticket costs $5. Players can choose five numbers from 1 to 70 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 24 for the Mega Ball. Players who prefer not to pick their own numbers can opt for a Quick Pick, where the numbers are generated automatically by a machine.

New features include a built-in multiplier that increases non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or even 10x at no extra charge. Previously, players had to pay extra for the Megaplier.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot remain steep at 1 in 290,472,336. However, various other prize tiers allow players to win smaller amounts by matching fewer numbers.

Tickets can be purchased at local convenience stores, gas stations, or even online in some states, including Arizona, New Jersey, and Texas. Some states allow ticket purchases until just before the drawing, so players are advised to check local regulations.

Lottery officials remind players to gamble responsibly and not to spend winnings before they are in hand, as the excitement of the game can sometimes lead to unrealistic expectations.
