Meghan Markle Addresses Rumors of Professional Separation from Prince Harry
Meghan Markle has broken her silence regarding the recent rumors of a strained work relationship with her husband, Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex addressed these rumors after attending a solo event for the Archewell Foundation, a charity she co-founded with Prince Harry.
The event, which was part of the Southern California Welcome Project in partnership with the Archewell Foundation, focused on supporting Afghan women who have resettled in the U.S. Meghan Markle expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences, highlighting the importance of unity and support during challenging times.
Despite the rumors of a “professional separation,” Meghan Markle’s statement emphasized the ongoing commitment of the Archewell Foundation to uplifting women and fostering community through shared experiences. The dinner, hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, included a shared meal and the gifting of new cookware to the participants for the upcoming holiday season.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who stepped back from royal duties in January 2020, have been attending separate public functions lately. However, they demonstrated solidarity earlier this month by jointly commemorating U.S. and U.K. veterans on Veterans' Day. They are also expected to appear together at the Invictus Games in Canada in February 2025, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, possibly attending as well.
Meghan Markle also shared insights into their family’s Thanksgiving celebrations, describing them as “pretty low-key” and emphasizing the importance of including friends who do not have family. She recalled a special Thanksgiving where they hosted feminist icon Gloria Steinem.
