Washington, D.C. — The MeidasTouch Podcast has captured the top position in the podcasting landscape for the third consecutive month, surpassing popular shows like The Joe Rogan Experience and The Ben Shapiro Show, according to data from Podscribe. This surge in downloads comes as political tensions rise with President Donald Trump‘s return to office in January 2025.

The podcast amassed an impressive 107.3 million downloads in April alone, while Rogan’s show drew 49.3 million downloads, and Shapiro’s podcast garnered 19.1 million. The MeidasTouch Podcast, founded by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas, presents a pro-democracy perspective, firmly opposing Trump’s administration.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Ben Meiselas said, “In an era of disinformation and apathy, we’ve built a community powered by truth, accountability, and unapologetic pro-democracy storytelling. We are just getting started.” The podcast has disrupted the previous dominance of conservative voices, with hosts often criticized for their anti-Trump sentiments.

Political analysts attribute the MeidasTouch’s rise to a shift in Republican party dynamics, especially with many young voters seeking alternative narratives to Trump’s conservative rhetoric. This change has led to a stark contrast in the political podcasting realm, with Democrat-leaning shows gaining traction.

According to Pew Research Center, confidence in Democratic leaders has hit an all-time low, prompting many to seek new channels of information and engagement. Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been touring the country to rally support against the Trump administration, which may influence the podcast’s growth.

The MeidasTouch Podcast’s recent success indicates a possible change in public sentiment as the 2026 elections approach, with the potential to reshape the media landscape. As mentioned by Meiselas, this is more than just a podcast victory—it’s part of a broader movement focused on truth and democracy.

It remains to be seen whether MeidasTouch can maintain its lead over other popular political podcasts, and how this dynamic will play out as the election intensifies.
