McCarthy has been open about her transformation, sharing insights into her weight loss journey. She emphasizes a strong mindset as the key to her success, stating, “What’s the hurry? I think everybody’s always kind of working on something. If I can de-stress and just do it slower, it’s actually more effective than attempting extreme diets.”

The actress acknowledges that her journey is a marathon, not a sprint, adopting a philosophy of progress over perfection. After becoming a mother, McCarthy realized the importance of being realistic about her goals, explaining, “After I had kids, I was just like, ‘It’s not gonna go fast.’”

Reflecting on past dieting experiences, she expressed regret over extreme weight loss methods, saying, “I’d never do that again. I felt starved and crazy half the time.” This time, her approach is healthier, focusing on nutritious meals made with homemade vegetable soups.

In her home, McCarthy collaborates with her husband, Ben Falcone, to prepare healthy meals and limit processed foods. She believes in enjoying life’s little pleasures, allowing herself occasional sweet treats. To stay active, she mixes cardio and strength training with fun activities like piloxing and tennis, making workouts a non-negotiable part of her routine.

Amid her weight loss celebrations, McCarthy emphasizes that her confidence and self-love are of paramount importance. She stated, “I feel sexiest when I feel comfortable, when I’m most myself… I’ll take me as I am,” highlighting her journey towards self-acceptance.
