Melissa Mccarthy In Only Murders In The Building And Jonbenét Ramsey Miniseries

Melissa McCarthy is set to make waves in two significant projects, showcasing her versatility as an actress. In the latest season of the popular Hulu series ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ McCarthy guest stars as Doreen, the younger sister of Charles (played by Steve Martin). This role has garnered attention for a memorable and intense catfight scene between McCarthy’s character and Meryl Streep‘s character, Loretta Durkin. The scene, which was largely choreographed by the actresses themselves, has been hailed as one of the most unexpected and exciting moments of the series so far.

In another notable project, McCarthy is slated to play Patsy Ramsey, the mother of JonBenét Ramsey, in a new miniseries ordered by Paramount+. The series, which will explore the Ramsey family’s ordeal before and after the tragic death of JonBenét, also stars Clive Owen as John Ramsey. The cast includes other notable actors such as Garrett Hedlund, Alison Pill, and Owen Teague. Production is set to begin soon in Calgary, Canada, with Richard Lagravenese serving as the showrunner and writer.

Aside from her professional endeavors, McCarthy recently celebrated a personal milestone by marking 19 years of marriage to her husband, Ben Falcone. The couple, who met as teenagers and later connected through a comedy class at the Groundlings in Los Angeles, have been instrumental in each other’s careers and have two daughters together. McCarthy expressed her gratitude for their marriage on Instagram, highlighting their long-standing partnership and friendship.
