Meridian Mourns Loss Of Four Beloved Community Members

Meridian, a tight-knit community in Mississippi, is mourning the loss of four beloved individuals who have recently passed away.

Services for Mr. Lonnie Nicholson, Jr., age 59, will be held at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home’s OP Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Nicholson, Sr, and Rev. Willie M. Hopson officiating. Mr. Nicholson will be laid to rest in Mary’s Garden Cemetery in Scooba.

Mr. Ray E Walker, 62, will also be remembered at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home’s OP Chapel, with services conducted by Rev. Franklin Brewster. His final resting place will be Mt. Horem Cemetery in Meridian.

Mr. Montreze Antuan Moore, 29, will be honored at St. John Baptist Church, where Rev. Dr. Ecclesiastes Goodwin will lead the funeral service. He will be buried in Sunset Cemetery under the care of Berry and Gardner Funeral Home.

Additionally, the community will pay tribute to Mr. Lonnie Cole, 50, at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home’s OP Chapel. Rev. William C. Brown will officiate the service, and Mr. Cole will be laid to rest in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery following his passing at Baptist Anderson Hospital.
