Metro Detroit Rain Forecast April 2025

DETROIT – Meteorologists predict rain will move into Metro Detroit starting Wednesday night, continuing through the weekend.

According to the latest updates, showers are expected to arrive after sunset on Wednesday and will continue intermittently throughout Thursday. Rainfall could be heavy at times, with forecasts estimating between three-quarters of an inch to one inch for both Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s high will reach 71 degrees, with a low of 54 degrees and mostly cloudy skies expected when it’s not raining. On Friday, temperatures may drop to a high of 65 degrees, also under mostly cloudy conditions with a few scattered showers.

The Weather Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk of heavy rainfall and flash flooding for Thursday across the region. However, following recent storms, the risk for significant flooding remains low due to minimal accumulation ahead of the system.

As conditions dry up, temperatures are projected to fall into the lower 60s on Saturday, before rebounding into the 70s next week.

Local residents are reminded to stay alert during inclement weather and avoid flooded areas. Forecasters continue to advise caution as showers approach the area.
