The body of a Michigan father who went missing after attending a family gathering in Frankenmuth has been found. Robert Loren Bacon, 52, was discovered by dive teams in the Cass River near Heritage Park on Saturday, Jan. 4, according to the Frankenmuth Police Department.

Bacon was last seen on Friday, Dec. 27, at a family gathering at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth. He was reported missing on Monday, Dec. 30, after failing to return to the gathering. The preliminary cause of death is believed to be drowning, with a final determination pending from the Saginaw County Medical Examiner’s Office.
