$150 Million Powerball Jackpot Awaits After No Major Winners In Draw 1444

The Powerball jackpot is set to soar to an incredible $150 million following the latest draw, titled 1444, where there were no major winners. The top prize of $100 million remained unclaimed, but 15 lucky tickets did manage to secure the second division prize, each receiving a sum of $132,000.

The winning numbers for draw 1444 were 21, 31, 17, 22, 20, 24, and 34, with the Powerball number being 6.

Officials from the Lott, the organization responsible for running the Powerball lottery, announced that the upcoming $150 million draw will be the second largest jackpot ever seen in Australia. The record for the highest jackpot in the country stands at $160 million, achieved in October 2022.

Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell expressed excitement over the upcoming draw, acknowledging the anticipation and captivation it will bring to many Australians. Hobdell stated, “It is undeniable that the idea of winning a share of the $150 million division one prize will captivate the minds of many Australians this week as anticipation and excitement builds.”

With the anticipation rising, the Lott expects a surge in sales both at lottery outlets and online as Thursday night’s multimillion-dollar draw approaches. It is estimated that up to half of Australian adults will have entered the draw.

To provide a sense of the excitement surrounding the upcoming draw, it is worth mentioning that during this week’s $100 million Powerball draw, the peak of sales occurred at 5:46 PM when 7,224 entries were purchased in just one minute.

Despite no major winners in tonight’s $100 million draw, it was still one of the highest jackpots seen in Australia in recent months. Last year, there were two $100 million draws, resulting in the creation of several multimillionaires.

On Boxing Day, three lucky Australians shared the $90 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

As the countdown to the $150 million Powerball draw begins, excitement is building among Aussies who dream of becoming instant millionaires.
