$331 Million Powerball Jackpot Up for Grabs Tonight
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $331 million, with a cash option of $147.5 million, for Saturday night’s drawing. The winning numbers for January 18, 2025, are 14, 31, 35, 64, 69, and the Powerball is 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2X.
The last Powerball jackpot was won on December 7, 2024, by a single ticket holder in New York who claimed $256 million. Since then, the jackpot has continued to grow, with no winners matching all six numbers in subsequent drawings.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday—at 10:59 p.m. ET. Tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In New York, ticket sales close at 10 p.m. on the night of the draw, while in New Jersey, the cutoff is 9:45 p.m., and in Connecticut, it’s 10 p.m.
To win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls (numbered 1 to 69) and the red Powerball (numbered 1 to 26). The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292.2 million. Even matching just the Powerball number earns a $4 prize.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each, with an additional $1 option for the Power Play, which multiplies non-jackpot winnings by up to 10 times. Players can also add Double Play for another $1, offering a second chance to win up to $10 million.
The Mega Millions jackpot, meanwhile, stands at $20 million, with a cash option of $8.9 million, after no one matched all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing. The winning numbers were 8, 10, 37, 54, 69, and the Mega Ball was 22, with a Megaplier of 3X.
Powerball and Mega Millions have created some of the largest lottery jackpots in U.S. history. The record Powerball jackpot of $2.04 billion was won in California on November 7, 2022. Other notable jackpots include $1.765 billion won in California on October 11, 2023, and $1.586 billion shared by winners in California, Florida, and Tennessee on January 13, 2016.
Saturday’s Powerball drawing will be broadcast live on the lottery’s website at 11 p.m. ET and may also air on local television stations. Players are encouraged to check their tickets promptly, as winners typically have 180 days to claim their prizes.
