Minnesota Weather Forecast: Major Warm-Up Coming This Week
St. Paul, Minnesota – A big warm-up is in the forecast for Minnesota this week after chilly temperatures hit the state over the weekend. Residents can expect more comfortable weather conditions starting today.
Monday’s cold temperatures were accompanied by lighter winds, providing a better experience outside than during the weekend when wind chills dropped into the teens. Although temperatures still felt like the 20s on Monday, warmer days are on the horizon.
The significant warming trend is set to begin on Veterans Day, Tuesday. Afternoon temperatures are predicted to rise into the 40s, nearing 50 degrees. Meteorologists say this trend of warmer weather will continue throughout the week.
On Friday and Saturday, temperatures may climb into the 50s and even near 60 degrees, bringing a taste of early winter warmth.
Tuesday morning started mildly with clouds expected to break by midday. The breeze will also be less intense than seen on Monday. The forecast suggests temperatures may reach close to 60 degrees later in the day.
Looking ahead, Wednesday is anticipated to be partly sunny and breezy, with afternoon temperatures again expected to rise into the 50s. However, residents should prepare for a change as the week progresses.
By Saturday, a cold rain is forecasted, which may mix with some snow. Though some areas could see a light dusting, heavy snowfall is not likely.
Stay warm and enjoy the changing weather!
