ELKINS, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police announced the successful location of Sandra Kay Murray, an 82-year-old woman, following the issuance of a Silver Alert on Wednesday, March 12.

Murray was last seen at a Sheetz gas station on Beverly Pike in Elkins on March 11. Police reported that she might have been traveling in a 2013 white Buick Lacrosse, license plate WV #9WK516, along US Route 250 going south near Beverly.

The Silver Alert was activated due to concerns over Murray’s well-being. She has a history of health issues, including a heart condition, a hearing impairment, and possible dementia, which heightened the urgency to locate her.

According to law enforcement, Murray is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs around 185 pounds, and has gray hair and hazel eyes. She was not wearing specific clothing details at the time of her disappearance.

Citizens were encouraged to report any sightings by calling the West Virginia State Police at 304-367-2850 or by dialing 911. Notifications regarding the Silver Alert were disseminated by the West Virginia State Police Fairmont Communications.

Fortunately, police later confirmed that Murray has been found and is safe.
