Multiple Injured in Glendale Business Shooting Sunday Night

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A shooting at a business in Glendale left multiple people injured on Sunday night, authorities reported. Police received calls regarding the incident at approximately 7:45 p.m. at an establishment near Glendale and Grand avenues.
During a briefing at around 9 p.m., Glendale Police Public Information Officer Moroni Mendez indicated that there could be as many as nine victims, though further details remained unconfirmed. No officers discharged their firearms during the incident, Mendez clarified.
Authorities have detained several individuals but are working to determine whether they are suspects, victims, or witnesses to the shooting. The police are conducting ongoing investigations and hope to provide further information after meetings scheduled for Sunday evening.
Witness Lupe Rodriguez recounted the scene, stating, “I heard people yelling out names. There was a man on the ground and it didn’t look like he made it.” Rodriguez expressed his relief that he and his friends were able to escape safely, despite the chaos.
As of now, the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting remain at large, prompting a heightened police presence in the area. The scene remains active, and road closures are in place.
