Netflix ‘Love is Blind’ Season 7 Couple Breaks Off Engagement

In a recent development from Netflix‘s “Love is Blind” Season 7, Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy, one of the couples who got engaged during the show, have called off their engagement. The couple’s journey was notably cut short as producers decided not to continue following their story, a decision revealed through a title card in the fifth episode of the season.

The decision, as explained by Chris Coelen, the show’s creator and executive producer, was based on the perceived authenticity of the couples’ relationships. Coelen mentioned, “When we make that decision as to who to follow, if we have more couples that got engaged, we make a decision as to which couples we think are authentic.” He further explained that the team felt the six couples who were followed were more likely to make it to the altar and say “I do.”

Despite their initial engagement, Brittany and Leo’s relationship encountered hurdles, particularly Leo’s indecision between two women, Brittany and Hannah. Leo described his connection with Brittany as deeper, though he referred to Hannah as his “twin flame.” However, after being rejected by Hannah, Leo chose to propose to Brittany, who accepted despite having reservations.

Upon meeting each other in person for the first time, Brittany described the encounter as “the most awkward moment” of her life. “I was surprised, because I’m very intuitive,” Brittany told Tudum. She expressed a sense of an energy shift, which led her to realize that Leo was not her match, despite their prior strong emotional and intellectual connection during the show’s “pods” phase.

Both Brittany and Leo later took a trip to Miami to explore the viability of their relationship moving forward, but they mutually realized it was best to part ways. Leo told People, “We had a lot of conversations throughout the trip, and mutually came to the conclusion that we just didn’t see it turning into marriage.” Brittany echoed this sentiment, citing a lack of chemistry, saying, “The physical connection just simply wasn’t there, honestly. He’s just not my person.”

Nonetheless, both acknowledged a positive friendship that blossomed from their experience on the show. The next episodes of “Love is Blind” Season 7 will continue to be released, with eager fans waiting to see how the remaining couples’ stories unfold.
