Netflix Renews ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ for Season 4, Filming Begins in February
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Netflix has officially renewed its hit legal drama series ‘The Lincoln Lawyer‘ for a fourth season, with production set to begin in February 2025. The new season will consist of 10 episodes and will be based on Michael Connelly‘s sixth book in the series, ‘The Law of Innocence.’
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will reprise his role as Mickey Haller, the charismatic defense attorney who operates out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator. The cast also includes Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson, who has been upgraded to a series regular for the upcoming season.
‘We are so excited to tell more stories with Mickey Haller, and especially thrilled to once again be shooting The Lincoln Lawyer in Los Angeles at this time,’ said co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez in a statement. ‘The show is in many ways a love letter to our city and an homage to the great tradition of LA noir, and after the tragedy of the fires, we are so grateful and honored to be able to provide some stability and hope to the community.’
The announcement comes three months after the release of Season 3, which concluded in October 2024. The series has been a consistent performer for Netflix, with Season 1 spending 12 consecutive weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10 and Season 3 logging six consecutive weeks in the same list. The show also boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ follows Mickey Haller as he takes on cases across Los Angeles, blending legal drama with the city’s unique noir aesthetic. The series is executive produced by Kelley, Humphrey, Rodriguez, Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Matthew J. Lieberman, and Gladys Rodriguez for A+E Studios.
The upcoming season will be filmed in Los Angeles, a city still recovering from the devastating Palisades and Eaton wildfires earlier this month. The production aims to bring stability and hope to the community while continuing to celebrate the city’s rich cultural and cinematic history.
