CW Network Appoints Michael Perman as Senior VP of Sports

NEW YORK, NY — The CW Network has appointed Michael Perman as its new Senior Vice President of Sports, the company announced on February 13, 2025. Perman, who previously served as Senior Vice President of Global Media Rights at Aggregate Sports, will oversee strategy, programming, and media rights for CW Sports, which includes established deals with WWE, NASCAR, and college sports franchises.

Previously an executive at NBC Sports, Perman brings valuable experience to The CW as the network revamps its programming lineup to focus more heavily on sports. Under his leadership, CW Sports aims to create dynamic live sporting events and engaging content that will attract a broader viewer base, according to Nickstar Media Group.

Brad Schwartz, President of the CW Network, expressed enthusiasm for Perman’s hiring, noting, “As our sports programming schedule continues to grow at a breakneck pace, we are excited to bring a consummate pro like Mike Perman to our team.” Schwartz highlighted that with nearly 400 hours of sports content under Perman’s leadership, including major events of the ACC, Pac12, and NASCAR, the network is confident in his ability to drive continued success.

Perman, whose career has been largely centered around sports media, has held various pivotal roles, including VP of Programming for NBC and involvement with the NBA. In his new position, he aims to foster strong relationships across the sports industry, enhancing the network’s reputation as a premier destination for fans.
