LOS ANGELES, CA — A new psychological horror thriller titled Send Help will see two co-workers stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. Directed by Sam Raimi, the film features Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien as Linda Liddle and Bradley Preston, respectively. The movie explores how their past work grievances complicate their fight for survival.

In Send Help, Linda and Bradley become the sole survivors of a business trip gone wrong. As they navigate their new reality on an uninhabited island, the tension between the characters escalates into dark comedy. “The pitch was outrageous and original,” Raimi told Entertainment Weekly about the story’s appeal. “I knew right away that I wanted to direct this picture.”

The first look images from the film showcase various moments, including O’Brien’s character in distress and McAdams’ character wielding a makeshift spear. “Once trapped on the island, Rachel’s character knows that she needs protein to survive,” Raimi quipped. He emphasized that not only does the film present a survival narrative, but it also highlights themes of female empowerment.

The supporting cast includes Edyll Ismail, Dennis Haysbert, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, and Emma Raimi. The movie is produced by Raimi along with Zainab Azizi, with a screenplay by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, renowned for their work on horror classics.

Send Help aims to blend suspense with humor as the two characters fend for themselves amidst personal conflict. The film is set to hit theaters on January 30, 2026. As Raimi aptly puts it, “We need to encourage our society to treat people with respect and kindness, regardless of status.”
