New Spartacus Series to Premiere December 5 on Starz

LOS ANGELES, CA — Starz is set to release the much-anticipated series, Spartacus: House of Ashur, which will premiere with its first two episodes on December 5, 2025. This series is the fifth installment in the popular Spartacus franchise.
Nick E. Tarabay returns as Ashur, a character he previously portrayed in Spartacus: Vengeance. The plot for House of Ashur explores an alternate history where Ashur survived the events of his demise, thrusting him back into the gladiatorial arena.
In this new series, Ashur transitions from a slave to a powerful owner of a ludus, the very gladiator school that once exploited him. The show delves into the brutal dynamics of Roman politics, where betrayal is commonplace. It also features Achillia, a gladiatrix portrayed by Tenika Davis, who seeks to carve her path in a male-dominated society.
Executive producer Steven S. DeKnight, who created the original Spartacus series, is joined by Rick Jacobson and Aaron Helbing in producing the show. The cast includes Graham McTavish as Korris, Jordi Webber as Tarchon, Jamaica Vaughan as Hilara, Ivana Baquero as Messia, Claudia Black as Cossutia, and others.
Spartacus: House of Ashur promises to blend thrilling action with historical fiction, promoting a narrative filled with plot twists and bloody spectacles. New episodes will be available for streaming weekly on Fridays following the premiere.
Since debuting in 2010, the Spartacus franchise has captivated fans with its blend of violent action and dramatic storytelling, and the upcoming series aims to continue that legacy.
