Nick Cannon Birthday Celebration

Nick Cannon celebrated his 44th birthday on October 8, 2024, marking another milestone in the life of the versatile entertainer. Known for his work as an actor, comedian, and television host, Cannon is also notable for being a father of 12 children. Reflecting on his priorities and responsibilities, he has frequently shared his views on fatherhood, emphasizing its significance in his life.

In an interview with People in April 2023, Cannon discussed his then-upcoming show, “The Daily Cannon,” and candidly expressed, “I believe that’s what we’re put on this planet here to do, is to guide and usher in your offspring. So fatherhood is my number one and first priority when I open my eyes, when I get up every morning.” He further explained that his career ranks second to his fathering duties, showcasing his dedication to his family.

Speaking about the challenges and judgments he faces due to his large family, Cannon stated, “My goal in life is just to love my kids and be there for my kids and provide for them.” Despite societal perceptions, Cannon has remained unwavering in his commitment to his children. He expressed that he chooses to embrace his current life, loving his family wholeheartedly. Cannon shares his oldest children, 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, with his former wife Mariah Carey. The couple was married from 2008 to 2016.

Beyond his twins with Carey, the “Drumline” actor has also expanded his family with other partners. With Brittany Bell, Cannon has three children: sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah, and daughter Powerful Queen. With Abby De La Rosa, he shares twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin. Cannon also has a son, Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi, and a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole. Tragically, Cannon lost his son Zen, whom he shared with Alyssa Scott, to brain cancer in December 2021.

In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Cannon revealed how he copes with parenting his teenagers, particularly with his daughter Moroccan. He shared, “My daughter is a little scary because she’s turning into a young lady… That was a little scary. I wasn’t ready for such a quick turn and all that comes with it.” Despite these challenges, Cannon praises his children’s emotional intelligence and the balance he and Carey have maintained in co-parenting their twins.
