Nicki Nicole Ends Relationship with Peso Pluma Following Vegas Video Circulation
Argentine rapper and singer Nicki Nicole has made a public announcement indicating the end of her relationship with Mexican artist Peso Pluma. The revelation came through a firm statement shared on social media, where Nicole also cleared her Instagram account of pictures featuring the two artists.
Expressing her stance strongly, Nicole posted on her Instagram story, stating, “Respect is a necessary part of love. What is loved is respected. What is respected is cherished. When you are not taken care of and there is no respect… I do not stay there. I leave from there.” She further added, “With deep sorrow, know that I found out the same way you did. Thank you for the love you are sending me.”
The direct words from Nicole come just a day after a circulating video showed Peso Pluma holding hands with another woman in Las Vegas over the Super Bowl weekend. While Nicki Nicole’s team declined further comments beyond her social media post, inquiries directed to Peso Pluma’s team by Billboard went unanswered at the time of publication.
In October, Nicki Nicole and Peso Pluma captivated the audience at the Billboard Latin Music Awards by performing their collaboration ‘Por las noches’. Following this, the duo made their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet at the Latin Grammys in Spain. At the event, they discussed the possibility of new music collaborations between them.
“We’ve been in the studio together, and we have a lot of chemistry there too,” Nicki Nicole shared in an interview with Peso. She mentioned, “I believe that mixing the personal with the musical yields incredible results. Because we love each other so much personally, and admire each other so much musically, there is a unique chemistry in the studio. I feel like we come together more to work because we enjoy it rather than just for the sake of making a song.”
More recently, the pair attended the 66th annual Grammy Awards on February 4th, where Peso Pluma won the award for Best Mexican Music Album for ‘Génesis’. Soon after, they were also spotted together at a basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
