Nigerian YouTuber Seeks Investigation Into Alleged Misdeeds of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry General Overseer
A Nigerian social media influencer and YouTuber based in the United States, Mrs. Funke Ashekun, has taken a step forward by petitioning the police in Maryland and Nevada to investigate Daniel Olukoya, who serves as the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry.
Ashekun highlights that the cleric’s alleged actions extend beyond religious practices, plunging into realms of exploitation and abuse which demand thorough investigation and actions.
Allegations suggest that Olukoya, using his authoritative position, has been accused of preying on vulnerable single mothers and young women, subjecting them to sexual abuse under the guise of offering prayers and spiritual guidance.
Ashekun indicates that numerous victims, fearing reprisals, have hesitated to come forward against Olukoya, allowing the alleged abuse to persist without accountability.
The petition initiated by Ashekun is titled ‘Rescue MFM church victims from Dr. DK Olukoya,’ collecting signatures urging authorities to probe into the matter.
The petition particularly accuses Olukoya of employing legal maneuvers across his numerous branches, including in the US, to suppress any revelations against him, marking a pattern of behavior that needed examination.
A specific instance of Ayotunde Richard, a vocal individual critical of Olukoya, facing legal repercussions allegedly orchestrated by the cleric, underscores the severity of the situation.
Ashken asserts the importance of unravelling these allegations promptly to ensure justice prevails and to support victims who have reportedly suffered manipulations and exploitation at the hands of Olukoya.
