Noel Tata Appointed Chairman of Tata Trusts, Heavy Rains Expected in Tamil Nadu
Noel Tata has been appointed as the Chairman of Tata Trusts following the demise of Ratan Tata. This decision was unanimously approved by the Foundation’s board members. Noel Tata, who previously held significant roles within the Tata Group, is set to lead one of India’s oldest and most influential charitable organizations.
Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, several districts are bracing for heavy rainfall as per the latest updates from the Meteorological Department. The districts of Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, and Thoothukudi are anticipated to experience very heavy rainfall today. An official from the Meteorological Centre stated, “We have issued warnings to the affected regions and necessary precautions are being advised.”
In related events, a somber atmosphere prevailed as political leaders and senior figures paid respects to the late Murasoli Selvam. Among the attendees was Dayalu Ammal, who arrived in a wheelchair to pay homage. Prominent political leaders and ministers from the DMK party were also present at the funeral.
Elsewhere, the Telangana government has appointed Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj as a Deputy Superintendent of Police.
