ARLINGTON, Texas — North Texas is bracing for a week of warm and humid weather, with high temperatures expected to reach the mid-90s. The heat index may soar between 100 and 103 degrees, as the region settles into its typical summer pattern.

This week, breezy conditions are forecasted with south winds gusting over 20 mph on Tuesday and Wednesday. Additionally, there is a possibility for thunderstorms to develop on Wednesday evening as storms move south from Oklahoma. While widespread severe weather isn’t anticipated, some storms may bring gusty winds and hail.

Tonight’s forecast indicates mostly clear skies, with a low of 76 degrees and light south winds at 5-10 mph. Tuesday is expected to remain mostly sunny and breezy, with a high near 95 degrees.

As for Wednesday, it will remain hot and humid, with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening. Temperatures will range from a low of 77 to a high of 94, with winds from the south at 10-20 mph.

Thursday, which coincides with Juneteenth, is also predicted to be hot and humid with partly sunny skies, starting with a low of 77 degrees and a high of 95.

By the weekend, temperatures will continue to hover in the mid-90s, with a chance of thunderstorms returning over Father’s Day weekend. Meteorologists caution residents to stay alert for changing weather conditions throughout the week.
