Oasis Announces Australian Tour Dates for 2025 Reunion
The British rock band Oasis has confirmed that it will bring its highly anticipated reunion tour to Australia, with multiple performances on the country’s east coast planned for late 2025. The band will kick off their Australian dates with a concert at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Friday, October 31, 2025, followed by a performance at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Friday, November 7, 2025, sources have revealed to Rolling Stone AU/NZ.
Expectations are high that more dates may be added, as demand for tickets has historically been high during previous legs of the tour in the UK and Europe. With a full week between the Melbourne and Sydney concerts, there is speculation that additional performances could be scheduled, potentially extending their stay in Australia.
Widely considered one of the biggest bands of the ’90s, Oasis, led by siblings Noel and Liam Gallagher, has a storied past. Their split in 2009, due to interpersonal conflicts, has made their announced reunion a significant event for fans worldwide. Over their initial run, Oasis achieved massive success, with all seven of their studio albums reaching number one on the Official UK Chart.
The band’s debut album, ‘Definitely Maybe,’ released in 1994, became the fastest-selling debut album in British history, while their follow-up, ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’, is the fifth best-selling album of all time in the UK. Their third album, ‘Be Here Now‘, set a record as the fastest-selling album in UK history, selling 696,000 copies in three days.
Oasis also holds a special place in Australian music history, with their hit ‘Wonderwall’ topping triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown in 1995 and again in a retrospective count of the top songs of the past two decades in 2013. The album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ also achieved eight-times platinum status in Australia, underscoring the band’s enduring popularity Down Under.
The current ‘Oasis Live ’25’ tour comprises 28 dates and is scheduled through September 2025, concluding with performances at London’s Wembley Stadium. The official announcement for the Australian leg of the tour is expected to be made on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Efforts to reach Live Nation for comment on the tour schedule were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
